Are you looking for a fantastic day trip? Let us take you on a visit to the only UNESCO World Heritage site in Northern Ireland, the famous Giant’s Causeway.

The area is surrounded by myth and legend. Was it actually created by the giant Finn McCool/Fionn MacCumhaill to cross the channel when he was challenged for a fight by the Scottish giant Benadonner? Several features show evidence of this including the giant's boot, an ornate organ, the chimney stacks,  and many more.

Of course, if you prefer to view it as a scientist, there is a visitor’s centre on-site to discover the history. You can learn about the ancient volcanic explosion 60 million years ago, which left behind the incredibly iconic interconnected basalt columns.

There are plenty of eateries to enjoy some delicious lunch. For those that prefer the great outdoors, there are four trails that can be followed.

The tour also includes a visit to Dunluce Castle, a ruined medieval castle surrounded by steep drops the castle dates back to the 13th century. It was thought to be the inspiration for Cair Paravel in C.S Lewis’ Chronicle of Narnia and has also been included in Album covers and more recently the Game of Thrones.

We also pass the Old Bushmills Distillery, dating back to 1608. It is the oldest licensed distillery in the world and produces the Famous Bushmills Whiskey.

Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge is also visited and you have an opportunity to cross over the 20m bridge which connects the mainland to Carrick-a-Rede.

Dunseverick Castle – Ruins of the original gate lodge are all that remain of this castle, which was destroyed by General Robert Munro in 1642 and his Cromwellian troops in 1650. It is recorded that St Patrick visited the castle in the 5th century.

We will also drive along part of the beautiful, wild and rugged North Antrim Coast. It is an area of outstanding beauty.
